FAQ About NP Services

No. Infinite Nurse Practitioner Services is not a rapid response service for participating RACFs; however, the service caters to deteriorating residents and not emergency cases.
All services are bulk billed, so there is no need to worry about out-of-pocket expenses. Please note that staff education is not bulk billed and is not funded by Medicare; hence, each facility must enquire about the sessions’ cost and pay before providing services.
All participating Nurse Practitioners and clinicians under Infinite Nurse Practitioner Services Pty Ltd have appropriate insurance and licences as determined by State and Federal laws.
NDIS provides financial support to cater to participants’ disability-related health requirements, particularly in cases where such care falls beyond the customary scope of the healthcare system. This funding encompasses the cost of health support rendered by qualified nurse practitioners and highly skilled registered nurses with specialised clinical expertise at the master’s level. These Nurse Practitioners are officially endorsed by the Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia (NMBA) to deliver advanced and extended patient care in their respective fields.
Disability-related health Support offers nursing care to address the specific health needs related to a participant’s disability, which are outside the typical responsibilities of healthcare.
A Nurse Practitioner holds significant experience as a Registered Nurse and is authorised to operate independently and in collaboration within an advanced and extended clinical capacity. Focusing on patient-centred care, the Nurse Practitioner collaborates seamlessly with residents, their families, General Practitioners, Residential Care staff, specialists, and allied healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive and timely healthcare solutions.

Nurse practitioners can:

  • Manage conditions and conduct advanced clinical assessments.
  • Place and review orders for diagnostic tests like blood and radiology exams.
  • Identifying and treating medical conditions.
  • Start referring patients to other healthcare professionals.
  • Review and prescribe medications.
  • Offer assistance with holistic health care.
  • Keep an eye on and assist with long-term medical needs.
  • Encourage discussions about advance care planning.
