Home Care Packages for Indigenous Australians
Kanyini Care Services offers services under the Home Care Packages Program (HCPP), an initiative of My Aged Care.
If you are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, and 50 years or older, you could be eligible a coordinated home care package for you care needs.
Objectives of the Program:
The main aim of this support program is to assist people to live at home for as long as they wish.
This program also provides consumers with choice and flexibility in arranging their aged care and support at home.

Level 1
Supports people with basic care needs.
Home Care
Level 2
Supports people with low-level care needs.
Home Care
Level 3
Supports people with intermediate care needs.
Home Care
Level 4
Supports people with high care needs.
Eligibility:
Although there is no minimum age requirement, the Home Care Packages Program was primarily developed to assist frailer older Australians in remaining in their homes.
How to Access a Home-Aged Care Package:
- Contact My Aged Care: Call 1800 200 422 or visit www.myagedcare.gov.au to request an assessment.
- Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT): If your care needs indicate a home care package, you will be referred for an assessment to determine eligibility.
